PRINCETON SCHOOL
OF ARCHITECTURE
At the Princeton University School of Architecture, design is more than form-making, it’s a mode of inquiry. Through a unique integration of studio culture, critical theory, and rigorous research, the School cultivates an environment where students engage architecture as both an intellectual discipline and an agent of change. The rebrand of Princeton School of Architecture aims to incorporate and celebrate all studies at Princeton School of Architecture.
Logo System
Inspired by the various programs Princeton School of Architecture offers, our logo is versatile and holds space for each touch point that the school has to offer. Additionally from observing the casual language of students and staff it was vital to keep SOA in the logo itself. The shifting of the hold to small caps is caused by an arch building a new space for the icons to exist in.
An Interchangeable System
By exploring materials and using different programs such as blender and Cinema 4D to experiment in 3D, the icons were formed. Additionally, the symbolism behind the icons was communicated. The rock stands for the primal history and theory, the arch stands for computation and energy, and layers stands for assembly and production.
VOID
Exhibition book and identity and on artitsts who push theories of architectural spaces and how we navigate through and around them. Visual elements represent the unseen grid structures in architecture and the places we inhabit.
