FORM/FLOW

PROJECT TOUCH POINTS:
/ Generative Design
Pacific Visions, a section of the Aquarium of the Pacific built in 2019, hosts events focused on ocean conservation, education, and innovation.

Form/Flow is an event inspired by the architecture of the Pacific Visions Building, a movement called Biomorphism.

Biomorphism Design

Biomorphism focuses on mimicking the visual aesthetics of natural shapes, unlike biomimicry or bioutilization, which focus on function and materials.

Key Traits of Biomorphism in design: Fluidity backed by structure, repetition, sculptural
abstraction, asymmetrical, "breathing", and "flowing.”

Custom Typeface

Utilizing a svg file as the base points of where the sketch should start. A Perlin Noise sketch with a reduced amount of lines to showcase the shape itself. Then animated smoothly with a feeling of kelp being pushed back and forth.
