Opened on June 1998 found in Long Beach CA, the Aquarium of the Pacific formed a world of Oceanic connection, discovery, and wonder.

This rebrand is focused on the Aquarium of the Pacific’s mission, one of child-like wonder, and education in hopes of Oceanic conservation.

A Symbol of Connection

The logo mark is inspired by the wave like architecture, currents that flow throughout the ocean, all forged into of a shell-like Equable Spiral. Serving as a symbol of connection, reminding us that we all share one ocean and one planet.

Brand Guidelines

The color system is inspired by the vibrant colors found within coral, fish, and plants of the ocean, as well as the aquarium’s unique bird exhibition and research center.

With the physical space of the aquarium in mind, being a dark and less lit environment this color palette aims to coordinate with the life found within the exhibitions. Additionally, building visual contrast between the graphics and the physical space.

Beneath the Waves

This expanded series serves as a visual portal into a world few have explored beneath the waves. In addition to the Animal Shoutout series, these designs are intended to educate audiences about the ocean and are created for large-scale placements.
